In the first inning, Fujiwara led off with a single to left field, and with one out, Yasuda scored an end run to left field to put runners on first and third. However, he struck out Shin Ishikawa to the next pitch and Yamamoto to Nakahi with a good catch from center fielder Mugitani to closer runs. In the 2~4th inning, he scored two double play and finished the attack with three players in each of them.

In the fifth inning, with both teams scoreless, with two outs, Teraji hit a single to right field, but then Chatani hit a timely doble over the left field fence, giving up the first run.

In the 6th inning, after two easy outs, two consecutive Walk produced a single and a double. Ikeda followed with a three-run shot to left off of full count, giving him a 4-0 lead. After that, he surrendered a pair of hits to Yamaguchi and Teraji, and after two outs and a double mound, Kawase came up to second and gave up timely hits to Chatani and Fujiwara, leaving Tajima with a 6 runs lead.
