On May 13, Orix lost 2-5 in the ninth round of the Western League regular season vs. Orix vs. Chunichi in Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima.

Starter Taito Takashima pitcher retired three batters in the first inning. However, in the top of the second inning, with one out, Bright's doble allowed Ryuku Tsuchida to score doble in the first inning. In the third inning, Hiroshi pitcher moved up to mound, but gave up the second run.

After the fifth, Ryoga Tomiyama pitcher continued to hit three consecutive singles to runs the second inning. Hitomi Honda pitcher in the fourth also had back-to-back singles in the top of the sixth inning with runners on second and third with one out, making it 5-0 with sacrifice fly. Ryota Muranishi pitcher had two innings of no-hit no-runs relief, but ended up hit double-digit Chunichi hits.

The offense was silent until the seventh inning before Chunichi starter Mejia pitcher, who scattered 3 hit. In the bottom of the ninth, they scored two runs on back-to-back singles with one out, a grounder to third base on a infield grounder from third base, and an RBI single by Musashi Shimizu, but they lost their second straight game.
